My name is Maliyah Greene. I am a 2019 graduate of Spelman College where I majored in Business and minored in Computer Science. My passion for music and technology started my Sophomore year of high school. I was introduced to a program called Girls Who Code, where I was one of the 20 founding girls to enter the internship. While visiting several Fortune 500 companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter, many individuals stressed to us the need for women in technology. This made me want to become someone who can help in closing that gender gap for women in music entertainment and technology; to show and prove that we are just as capable as our male counterparts. Being in that program taught me that there were many ways in which I could pursue my passion for music in technology. My childhood dream of working in music entertainment has finally begun to come into fruition as I am now an artist manager while enhancing my skills in both A&R and digital marketing. I have received many certifications over the last year pertaining to my musical career, which have allowed me to be of an asset to others within my network.
